SIU's Touch of Nature Environmental Center, a National Environmental Education Landmark, has been serving Southern Illinois school children and teachers for almost 70 years.  With a legacy as a leader in many outdoor fields, 3,100 forested acres, two camps, lake access, and access to adjoining and regional state and federal protected lands, the center is uniquely situated to provide quality experiential programs on the land and water for students and educators in many disciplines.  Join Environmental Education Program Coordinator Steve Gariepy to learn about current programs and events, coordinating to achieve Next Generation Science Standards, and how to bring your classes for programs, including grant funding options that include transportation funding.
